A few years ago as I was taking down the winter paper snowflakes from our windows, it struck me that I should repurpose them into easter eggs. The patterns of the snowflakes rang a little bell, sparking a relationship to traditional Ukrainian decorated eggs. From that moment on, it has become our tradition to make our snowflakes into Easter eggs. Each year our collection grows. It is a very simple process, and I have found some comfort and contentment of cycle and tradition. Bit by bit our collection of Easter eggs expands, slowly but surely. You can read more detailed instructions and see more process images of this project from previous years here.
Method
1. Cut eggs shapes from recycled paper or cardboard.
2. Paint the egg shapes.
3. Glue the snowflakes to the egg shapes.
4. Trim the excess snowflake off
