The Girls and I were in the East Village last week and we stopped by the Goat Milk store. It was our first time dropping by and we are so glad we did as the girls really enjoyed looking through the collection in person. It was lovely to see Tania and the gorgeous retail space she and her business partner have created, a perfect combination of classic antiques and contemporary utilitarian. I was awestruck over her amazing and extensive collection of vintage Vogue magazine and other collector publications they have lining a giant industrial shelf from floor to ceiling. I have hopes to go back and sit and talk with Tania and have her show me her favorite print issues.
We picked up a few more pairs of undies while we were there – Girls undies and singlets are currently on sale for $5 so get in quick! We sized down in the undies as my girls are petite. Maya (8yrs) and I bought her size 6 undies. Elle (6yrs) I bought size 4 undies. In the thermals I purchase sizes 7 and 5. As I said though, my girls are on the small side.
Bit by bit I have been buying better quality from the head to the toe and inside out, and being able to buy Goat Milk undies feels very special. Goat Milk organic underwear is classic and simple and washes and last beautifully. As I have mentioned previously we get a couple of drop needle thermals each Autumn and wear them on their own, as layering piece or pjs. I love the slightly thicker feel of the drop needle fabric. Goat Milk makes fantastic basics, and given they are 100% organic cotton, they are a wise choice that lasts well and looks great.
