A friend came over today for some sewing lessons. For a while she had been meaning to make some cushion covers but needed a little sewing guidance. I was more than happy to help her out, and am very pleased to have had the chance to offer design and construction advice. I do not take any credit what so ever, they are the handy work of my clever friend. I love seeing ideas come to fruition. These two lovely pillows are for her son’s shark themed bedroom in their new beach house on Fire Island!

The covers are made of felt. The Sharks are hand sewn appliques, also made of felt. The cushion cover is a simple slip cover, with no fastenings. You can see on the back of the cover ric-rac has been sewn where the cushion insert is applied. A very quick and easy cover, that really looks great!
